Fisher House Benefits from Project Max-Ox

02/06/2009

On Friday, February 6, Brad Clark, senior site operations manager of our Los Angeles office, represented GES at the dedication of the new West Los Angeles Fisher House.

The Fisher House provides comfort homes at military and VA hospitals for members of the military and their families. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at no cost. The West Los Angeles House, on the campus of the VA’s Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, is the Foundation’s 43rd “home away from home” and one of the largest, with 21 family suites. These homes are needed now more than ever, as the average stay at a Fisher House has increased from two weeks to two months for those whose relatives were injured in combat.

Project Max-Ox is an initiative of GES’ Corporate Social Responsibility program. Proceeds from the 2009 Max-Ox calendar sale helped support construction of the new facility. Our $5,000 donation represents the contribution of our local offices and employees, combined with the backing of our leadership and coordination by GES’ CSR program.
